Some Info About Our Club...


We are based in sunny Perth, the capital of Western Australia. Perth is a relatively small and unspoilt city with a population of around one million people and we don't have to go too far to enjoy the great highways and scenic country roads in our region.

Club Virago of W.A. Inc.was formed in 1994 by a small but enthusiastic group of Virago owners. The club has grown steadily ever since, presently enjoys a membership of about one hundred, and of course now also caters for owners and riders of the newer breeds of Yamaha cruisers. We even let other breeds of cruisers in as Associate Members.  We hold regular club meetings (Second Wednesday of the month) and at least one organised ride on the fourth Sunday of each month. During our best riding season (October to May), it is not unusual for club members to organise many other informal rides.

The objectives of our club are as follows:

  • To promote and encourage the ownership of Yamaha Virago and Yamaha XV cruiser motorcycles.
  • To promote and encourage motorcycling and to co-operate with kindred bodies in fostering and maintaining motorcycling as a sport.

  • To organise and conduct social outings and to encourage good fellowship amongst club members.

  • To maintain the prestige of the club and of the sport of motorcycling.

So How do I join??????

You can come along on a ride or two to see if it is what you are after.  If  you enjoy our company you can then pay a $10 application fee.  There is a probation period of three months to see if you fit in with the group.  During this time you need to attend a minimum of two meetings and two rides.  If all goes well there is an annual membership fee of $30 for full members, pillions or associate members.

Full membership is open to riders of Yamaha cruisers.

Pillion membership - for the sightseers on the back.

Associate membership is open to riders of non Yamaha cruisers and non riding members.
